It added <b>syntax highlighting support for Abaqus input files<\/b>, improving code readability for editing .inp files.<\/p>\n<p>And, it added ability to click edit on EOL (End of Line) label in bottom status bar, so that user can quickly change the line-ending character between <em>Unix LF (\\n)<\/em>, <em>Windows CRLF (\\r\\n)<\/em>, and <em>Macintosh CR (\\r, ASCII 13)<\/em>, without launching preferences dialog.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/notepadnext-lineending.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-50492\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/notepadnext-lineending-700x488.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/notepadnext-lineending-700x488.webp 700w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/notepadnext-lineending-300x209.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/notepadnext-lineending-768x536.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/notepadnext-lineending.webp 1026w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When current opened and focused file is changed externally (e.g., edited via another text editor), Notepad Next will now pop-up a dialog asking to either reload or keep current file content.<\/p>\n<p>The preferences dialog has been updated with some new options.
