It features <b>new redesigned audio mixer<\/b> that now displays the audio sources vertically by default.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The new audio mixer replaced the bottom vertical dots icon with a new button icon to switch between vertical and horizontal layout. While, &#8220;Unhide All&#8221; is moved to a new menu along with some extra options, such as show hidden \/ inactive sources, keep hidden \/inactive sources to the right.<\/p>\n<p>Each audio source now has new headphone toggle icon alongside the speaker icon, and the three vertical icon menu has been replaced by a drop-down menu that can be opened by clicking on the source name.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/obs-newaudiomixer.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-50745\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/obs-newaudiomixer-700x459.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/obs-newaudiomixer-700x459.webp 700w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/obs-newaudiomixer-300x197.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/obs-newaudiomixer-768x504.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/obs-newaudiomixer.webp 1305w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For WebRTC streaming services, the release added <b>Simulcast<\/b> support. It allows to encode the same video steam in different quality levels (resolutions and bit-rates) and send them over one track to a media server.
