Codename is Isengard<\/i><\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"http:\/\/kodi.tv\/kodi-15-0-isengard-one-release-to-rule-them-all\/\" title=\"Kodi 15 release note\" target=\"_blank\">official release note<\/a>, Kodi 15.0 features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>A new chapter selector window<\/b> allows you to visually browse and select chapters from mkvs and other containers that support chapters.<\/li>\n<li><b>Adaptive seeking (aka Skip Steps)<\/b>. The more times you press a button to seek in a period of time, the larger the jump forward or backward will be.<\/li>\n<li><b>Audio and Subtitle Lists<\/b>. For content that includes multiple audio and subtitle choices, you can select from a full list of choices, rather than manually searching through a spinner.<\/li>\n<li><b>Language Add-ons and Expanded International Preferences<\/b>. Now language translations get regularly updated to all users as the add-ons themselves update.<\/li>\n<li>Improved Add-on Manager to make finding the add-ons you are looking for easier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/kodi-hd.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/kodi-hd-600x337.jpg\" alt=\"kodi-hd\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/kodi-hd-600x337.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/kodi-hd-450x253.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/kodi-hd.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The new release also brings other improvements include: <i>ffmpeg 2.6.3 update<\/i>, <i>improved Closed Captioning support in Live TV<\/i>, <i>fixed music video queuing<\/i>, <i>allow scanning of new sources and marking as watched<\/i>, and <i>Windows DXVA HEVC hardware decoding support<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Install \/ Upgrade Kodi 15.0 in Ubuntu:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ubuntu 12.04 support has been dropped in <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~team-xbmc\/+archive\/ubuntu\/ppa\" target=\"_blank\">Kodi PPA<\/a>. Packages for Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Linux Mint 17 and Elementary OS Freya will be made into PPA very soon.<\/p>\n<p>1. To add PPA, open terminal from the Dash, Launcher, or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard.
