It however lacked the <code>.iso<\/code> desktop image for testing on modern <code>amd64<\/code> platform, even in the first snapshot release.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ubuntu2610dev-desktop.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-51380\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ubuntu2610dev-desktop-700x441.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ubuntu2610dev-desktop-700x441.webp 700w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ubuntu2610dev-desktop-300x189.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ubuntu2610dev-desktop-768x483.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ubuntu2610dev-desktop.webp 1438w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you may know, the daily iso images are automatically generated, usually once per day, without human interaction.<\/p>\n<p>A recent change to the kernel snap (the kernel image, modules, firmware, etc packaged as a snap) however broke this automate process, causing the absence of the Desktop image for <code>amd64<\/code> architecture type. See the build logs in <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntu-cdimage\/+livefs\/ubuntu\/stonking\/ubuntu-dangerous\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntu-cdimage\/+livefs\/ubuntu\/stonking\/ubuntu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this page<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n<p>Someone has reported the issue on <a href=\"https:\/\/discourse.ubuntu.com\/t\/where-are-the-ubuntu-26-10-amd64-iso-images\/83413\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ubuntu Discourse<\/a>.
