595.91.07 for Linux this monday!

The production branch driver 595.91.07 includes only many bug fixes and improvements, while the 610.57.04 feature branch driver fixed crashes in many games.

For Steam users or those who play Windows games in Linux through Proton, the new NVIDIA 610 driver fixed STALKER 2 crashes and GPU hang in Forza Horizon 6, when running the games in Linux using a particular VKD3D-Proton
descriptor_heap
feature.

It fixed the issue that some textures are wrapped incorrectly in Assetto Corsa Evo 0.6.x, and fixed Monster Hunter Wilds crashes at the main menu because the NVIDIA graphics driver reports that the GPU stopped responding.

It as well fixed hangs or corruption problems in the 007 First Light and Assassin’s Creed Origins, as well as black screens issue in Total War: Warhammer III with 595 driver.

The driver also fixed an issue that could cause application hangs or a black screen in several games, including:

Crimson Desert

Elden Ring

Elden Ring Nightrein

ExoDomia

Far Far West

Grounded 2

Incursion Red sizes="auto, (max-width: 273px) 100vw, 273px" />

Besides the fixes for those who gaming in Linux, the 610 driver also fixed a bug that caused Vulkan’s display enumeration to return incorrect results, when using
__VK_ENABLE_DEVICE_GROUPS=1
that treats multiple physical GPUs as a group useful for multi-GPU rendering, high-performance computing, or certain advanced graphics applications.

It as well fixed a suspend/resume failure issue caused by Runtime D3 (RTD3), the power management feature that allows a device (such as a discrete NVIDIA GPU) to completely power down when it’s not being used.

And, it fixed the a compatibility issue with Kernel 7.0 in NVIDIA 595.71.05, which caused blank screen when switching to a text console (TTY/virtual console) after loading the driver.

Other changes in NVIDIA 610.57.04 include:

Fix the DKMS kernel module build failure when using NVIDIA-provided installer.

Fix Vulkan applications stutter when several CPU threads were waiting for the same GPU synchronization event.

Fix blank screen in X11 apps after changing display modes (resolution, refresh rate, monitor configuration) when they used the X Present extension.

Fix possible performance problems, caused by incorrectly moved some OpenGL buffers into RAM.

Fix that X-Plane could display broken graphics (corrupted images) when running on NVIDIA workstation-class GPUs.

Fix X11 graphics driver bug where using old-style GLX indirect OpenGL rendering could crash the entire X server.

Get NVIDIA 610.57.04

The official release note as well as the
.run
installer for the new NVIDIA
