For users who use prefer keyboard shortcuts, it now supports <b>F2<\/b> to re-name file and <b>Del<\/b> to move file to trash while previewing a file.<\/p>\n<p>Without mouse clicks, you can press <b>O<\/b> to open the file with the default app, and press <b>P<\/b> to pause or resume audio\/video playback.<\/p>\n<p>It as well supports opening folders in currently previewed nautilus window, auto-resize window on changed scale factor, and use dark background for videos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/sushi-previewdark-700x436.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"380\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-51959\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/sushi-previewdark-700x436.webp 700w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/sushi-previewdark-300x187.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/sushi-previewdark-768x479.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/sushi-previewdark.webp 935w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This RC version also improved its plugin system with an example showing how to use a UI file and keyboard shortcuts, and a helper for setting up action groups and resolving paths relative to the plugin.<\/p>\n<p>It also added a <code>markFailed<\/code> API so plugins can report initialization\/runtime failures explicitly and renamed some functions for clearer naming.<\/p>\n<p>Other changes include fixes for loading animated GIF and TIFF images, image scaling and aspect ratios improvements, as well as various window resizing issue fixes and nautilus integration improvements.<\/p>\n<h3>Get GNOME Sushi 51 Dev<\/h3>\n<p>The source tarball and the release note are available in the Gitlab source page via the link below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons aligncenter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-vivid-cyan-blue-to-vivid-purple-gradient-background has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.gnome.org\/GNOME\/sushi\/-\/releases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GNOME Sushi Release Note<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Besides building from the source, Arch Linux and Fedora will soon built the package in their repositories.
