The sound from your microphone is recorded separately from system sound, and, webcam is recorded separately from desktop screen. They include <b>Audio Visualization<\/b> effect that turns audio into animated waveforms, bars, and other visual styles.<\/p>\n<p>They also include <b>Beat Sync<\/b> effects that turns the energy in an audio clip into a color layer that reacts to beats and loud sounds. <\/p>\n<p>Other new effects include <b>Film Grain<\/b> adds file-inspired grain texture, <b>Denoise Image<\/b> that reduces visible grain and color speckles in video frames, <b>Shadow<\/b> adds a soft drop shadow based on visible pixels, and <b>Glow<\/b> which adds an outer or inner glow based on visible pixels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/openshot-audiovisual.webp\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/openshot-audiovisual-700x506.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"441\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-51971\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/openshot-audiovisual-700x506.webp 700w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/openshot-audiovisual-300x217.webp 300w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/openshot-audiovisual-768x555.webp 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/openshot-audiovisual.webp 1100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are as well <b>Displacement Map<\/b> effect that uses a grayscale image or video to warp the frame horizontally or vertically, <b>Timer<\/b> that displays count-up \/ count-down overlay, and <b>Color Grade<\/b>, an unified color grading effect with curves, wheels, and LUT support.<\/p>\n<p>The release also introduced <b>Object Mask<\/b> effect that can create a re-usable animated mask around a selected subject.<\/p>\n<p>It uses open-source AI models, includes YOLO, EfficientSAM, and Cutie models, locally on user&#8217;s computer to do the work.
