It&#8217;s kinda similar to the Mac app <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acqualia.com\/soulver\/\" target=\"_blank\">Soulver<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Its an app where you do maths like a normal person. It lets you type whatever you want and smartly figures out what is math and spits out an answer on the right pane. Then you can plug those answers in to future equations and if that answer changes, so does the equations its used in.<\/i>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With NaSC you can for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform calculations with strangers you can define yourself<\/li>\n<li>Change the units and values \u200b\u200b(in m cm, dollar euro &#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>Knowing the surface area of \u200b\u200ba planet<\/li>\n<li>Solve of second-degree polynomial<\/li>\n<li>and more &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-eos.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-eos-450x274.jpg\" alt=\"nasc-eos\" width=\"450\" height=\"274\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5251\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-eos-450x274.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-eos-600x365.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-eos.jpg 941w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the first launch, NaSC offers a tutorial that details possible features. It can be also shared on Pastebin with a defined time.<\/p>\n<p><b>Install NaSC in Ubuntu \/ Elementary OS Freya:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 15.10, Elementary OS Freya, open terminal from the Dash, App Launcher and run below commands one by one:<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Add the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~nasc-team\/+archive\/ubuntu\/daily\/\" target=\"_blank\">NaSC PPA<\/a> via command:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-add-repository ppa:nasc-team\/daily<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-ppa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-ppa-450x99.jpg\" alt=\"nasc-ppa\" width=\"450\" height=\"99\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-ppa-450x99.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-ppa-600x132.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/nasc-ppa.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> If you&#8217;ve installed Synaptic Package Manager, search for and install <code>nasc<\/code> via it after clicking Reload button.<\/p>\n<p>Or run below commands to update system cache and install the software:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get update\n\nsudo apt-get install nasc<\/pre>\n<p><b>3.
