See this <a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/index.php\/2014\/10\/install-the-latest-blender-release-ubuntu\/\" target=\"_blank\">how-to to install blender via official Linux binary<\/a>. Need to remove the previous installation first.<\/p>\n<p>2. To install Blender 2.77 from PPA.<\/p>\n<div class=\"arconix-box arconix-box-gray\"><div class=\"arconix-box-content\">There may be a little delay before the current release being made into PPA. Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~thomas-schiex\/+archive\/ubuntu\/blender\" target=\"_blank\">PPA webpage<\/a>, and read the PPA description before doing below steps.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>1.) Open terminal from App Launcher, or via Ctrl+Alt+T keys.
