And now it&#8217;s made into <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~kubuntu-ppa\/+archive\/ubuntu\/backports-landing\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kubuntu Backports Landing PPA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>KDE Connect is a project that aims to communicate all your devices. Don&#8217;t install it in Unity Desktop, the required Qt 5.6 library will break Unity Web Apps<br \/>\n2. For a stable system, please wait the packages to be landed in KUbuntu Backports PPA.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>1. This build uses the old packaging, you need to remove the old <code>kdeconnect-plasma<\/code> package before installing the new release:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt remove kdeconnect-plasma<\/pre>\n<p>3. Update and install KDEConnect 1.0:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt update && sudo apt install kdeconnect<\/pre>\n<p>And also install the latest KDE Connect in Android device from <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=org.kde.kdeconnect_tp&#038;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\">Google Play<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Undo \/ Restore the changes:<\/h4>\n<p>To downgrade installed packages and libraries from that repository, run command the purge the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt install ppa-purge && sudo ppa-purge ppa:kubuntu-ppa\/backports-landing<\/pre>\n<p><b>In addition,<\/b> the maintainer offers <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~clivejo\/+archive\/ubuntu\/kdeconnect-kde\" target=\"_blank\">a separate PPA<\/a> with KDEConnect 1.0 packages for Ubuntu 16.10, and Ubuntu 16.04.
