You can still use them with the regular X220 machine, but only thinkpad-rotate will probably be useless for you then. <\/p>\n<p>In short, this script fixes or improves the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rotation of the internal screen and any Wacom touch and pen input devices using the bezel buttons or physical screen rotation<\/li>\n<li>Get the microphone mute button to work.<\/li>\n<li>Automatically use any external monitor, speakers and LAN connection when docking onto an UltraBase or similar.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to disable touch pad or touch screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>How to Install Thinkpad-Scripts in Ubuntu 16.04, 14.04:<\/h4>\n<p>The scripts are available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~martin-ueding\/+archive\/ubuntu\/stable\" target=\"_blank\">PPA repository<\/a>, so far available for Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 14.04 and their derivatives. <\/p>\n<p>1. Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:martin-ueding\/stable<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/thinkpad-scripts-ppa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/thinkpad-scripts-ppa-600x105.jpg\" alt=\"thinkpad-scripts-ppa\" width=\"600\" height=\"105\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6387\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/thinkpad-scripts-ppa-600x105.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/thinkpad-scripts-ppa-450x79.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/thinkpad-scripts-ppa.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2.
