With it, youcan:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simply click on any download links, &#8216;uGet new Download&#8217; dialog will appear and continue the download.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click on a link and there&#8217;s &#8216;Download with uGet&#8217; option.<\/li>\n<li>Press and hold <b>Insert<\/b> key to prevent uGet from interrupting your download.<\/li>\n<li>Use <b>Ctrl+Shift+U<\/b> to disable or re-enable the extension (uGet Download option in context menu still available).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-integration.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-integration.jpg\" alt=\"uget-chrome-integration\" width=\"600\" height=\"366\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-integration.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-integration-450x274.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>How to Install uGet Chrome Wrapper in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> First in Chrome browser, install the uGet integration extension by going to the link below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href='https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/uget-integration\/efjgjleilhflffpbnkaofpmdnajdpepi' class='arconix-button arconix-button-large arconix-button-gray' target=\"_blank\" >uGet integration extension for Chrome<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Then open terminal (<b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b>) and run commands below one by one to install the wrapper for uGet from the developer&#8217;s PPA:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add the PPA repository:\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:slgobinath\/uget-chrome-wrapper<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-wrapper-ppa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-wrapper-ppa-600x87.jpg\" alt=\"uget-chrome-wrapper-ppa\" width=\"600\" height=\"87\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-wrapper-ppa-600x87.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-wrapper-ppa-450x65.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/uget-chrome-wrapper-ppa.jpg 746w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Then update and install the wrapper:\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt update\n\nsudo apt install uget-chrome-wrapper<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finally restart Google Chrome browser and enjoy!<\/p>\n<h4>Uninstall uGet Chrome Wrapper:<\/h4>\n<p>To completely remove this stuff, first go to Chrome Settings -> Extensions -> remove &#8220;uGet integration&#8221; extension.<\/p>\n<p>Then open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and remove the wrapper via command:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt remove uget-chrome-wrapper && sudo apt autoremove<\/pre>\n<p>And the PPA can be removed by going to System Settings -> Software &#038; Updates -> Other Software tab.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For Google Chrome users not satisfied with the built-in download manager, here&#8217;s how to integrate the uGet download manager with Chrome browser in Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 14.04, and Linux Mint 17, 18. uGet used to have an official extension for Chrome\/Chromium, though it&#8217;s out of date because Google removed NPAPI support.
