Simply clock in and out with the Start\/Stop button. If you make a mistake in your hours, you can go back and edit any of the entries by double-clicking on the session in question. When it opens, run command to add the developer&#8217;s PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gottcode\/gcppa<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/focuswriter-ppa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/focuswriter-ppa-600x96.jpg\" alt=\"focuswriter-ppa\" width=\"600\" height=\"96\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/focuswriter-ppa-600x96.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/focuswriter-ppa-450x72.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/focuswriter-ppa.jpg 748w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><i>Type in your password (no visual feedback for security reason) when it asks and hit Enter.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Then you can install the software either via Synaptic Package Manager or by running commands:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get update\r\n\r\nsudo apt-get install kapow<\/pre>\n<p>For those who don&#8217;t want to add the PPA, grab the <b>DEB<\/b> package from <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~gottcode\/+archive\/ubuntu\/gcppa\/+packages?field.name_filter=kapow&#038;field.status_filter=published&#038;field.series_filter=\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Uninstall:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To remove Kapow punch clock software, either use Synaptic Package Manager or run the command below in terminal:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get remove kapow && sudo apt-get autoremove<\/pre>\n<p>And remove the PPA via System Settings -> Software &#038; Updates -> Other Software tab.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kapow is a free and open-source punch clock program that works on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
