It supports many document formats, such as PDF, XPS, OpenXPS, CBZ, EPUB, and FictionBook 2. It offers command line tools that allow you to annotate, edit, and convert documents to other formats such as HTML, SVG, PDF, and CBZ.<\/p>\n<p>New features in MuPDF 1.11:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PDF portfolio support with command line tool &#8220;mutool portfolio&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Add callbacks to load fallback fonts from the system.<\/li>\n<li>Use system fonts in Android to reduce install size.<\/li>\n<li>Flag to disable publisher styles in EPUB layout.<\/li>\n<li>Improved SVG output.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>How to Install MuPDF 1.11 in Ubuntu \/ Linux Mint:<\/h4>\n<p>Besides building the tool from source, there&#8217;s an unofficial PPA with the packages for Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 16.10, Ubuntu 17.04, and their derivatives.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T or searching for &#8220;Terminal&#8221; from start menu. When it opens, run command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/apps<\/pre>\n<p>Type in password (no visual feedback due to security reason) when it asks and hit Enter.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa-600x76.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"76\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5811\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa-600x76.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa-450x57.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa.jpg 737w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Then install <code>mupdf<\/code> and <code>mupdf-tools<\/code> packages either via Synaptic Package Manager or by running following commands in terminal:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:None;\">sudo apt-get update\r\n\r\nsudo apt-get install mupdf mupdf-tools<\/pre>\n<p>If you have a previous release installed, simply launch <b>Software Updater<\/b> to upgrade the tool after checking for updates.<\/p>\n<p>To use the PDF\/XPS viewer, right-click on your file and select open with MuPDF.
