And they do not interfere with those that are installed by default in Gimp or Inkscape.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/gimp-palettes.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/gimp-palettes-600x383.jpg\" alt=\"gimp color palettes\" width=\"600\" height=\"383\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6886\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/gimp-palettes-600x383.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/gimp-palettes-450x287.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/gimp-palettes-768x491.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/gimp-palettes.jpg 822w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal via Ctrl+Alt+T or by searching for &#8220;Terminal&#8221; from app launcher. When it opens, run command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:None;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao\/atareao<\/pre>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/atareao-ppa-600x89.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"89\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5786\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/atareao-ppa-600x89.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/atareao-ppa-450x66.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/atareao-ppa.jpg 734w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Then update and install the color palettes:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get update\r\n\r\nsudo apt-get install palettes-extra-for-gimp palettes-extra-for-inkscape<\/pre>\n<p>For those who don&#8217;t want to add PPA, grab the <b>.deb<\/b> package for Ubuntu 17.04 from <a href=\"http:\/\/ppa.launchpad.net\/atareao\/atareao\/ubuntu\/pool\/main\/p\/palettes-extra-for-gimp\/\" target=\"_blank\">THIS PAGE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Click install via Ubuntu Software and it works on all current Ubuntu releases.<\/p>\n<p><b>Uninstall:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The PPA can be removed via <b>Software &#038; Updates<\/b> utility under <i>Other Software<\/i> tab.
