Ubuntu 17.10 Alpha 2 features images for Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu Kylin, and Ubuntu MATE.<\/p>\n<p>Ubuntu 17.10 is still based on Kernel 4.11, which is used in Ubuntu 17.04, however there are a lot of internal updates, such as Python 3 support as default, GNOME&#8217;s GDM as default login manager instead of LightDM, and hardware-accelerated video playback.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ubuntu1710-image-600x337.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6918\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ubuntu1710-image-600x337.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ubuntu1710-image-450x253.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ubuntu1710-image.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Download Ubuntu 17.10:<\/h4>\n<p>NOTE the pre-release images are not recommended for anyone who need a stable system.
