At the moment, you can install the 1.2.0 release via <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntuhandbook1\/+archive\/ubuntu\/apps\/\" target=\"_blank\">this PPA<\/a> in Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 17.04, Ubuntu 17.10, and derivatives.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal either via Ctrl+Alt+T or by searching for &#8220;terminal&#8221; from app launcher. When it opens, run command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1\/apps<\/pre>\n<p><i>Input your password (no visual feedback while typing) when it prompts and hit Enter.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa-600x76.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"76\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-5811\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa-600x76.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa-450x57.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/mupdf-unofficial-ppa.jpg 737w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Then install the player either via <b>Synaptic Package Manager<\/b> (after clicking refresh), or by running commands:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get update\r\n\r\nsudo apt-get install yarock<\/pre>\n<p>Once installed, launch the music player from your application launcher and enjoy!<\/p>\n<h4>How to Remove:<\/h4>\n<p>To remove the software, use Synaptic Package Manager or run command:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get remove --autoremove yarock<\/pre>\n<p>And remove the PPA by launching <b>Software &#038; Updates<\/b> utility and navigating to Other Software tab.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yarock, a Qt music player designed to provide a clean music collection based on album cover art, reached 1.2.0 release a few hours ago.
