Try <a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/index.php\/2019\/11\/cawbird-linux-twitter-client-gnome3\/\">Cawbird as an alternative<\/a>.<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Corebird, an open-source GTK+ 3 twitter client, reached 1.7 release a few hours ago with new features and some bug-fixes. <\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s new in <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/baedert\/corebird\/releases\" target=\"_blank\">Corebird 1.7<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hashtags and Mentions in profile desriptions are now clickable<\/li>\n<li>The mention-completion when composing a new tweet now fetches unknown users from the twitter server<\/li>\n<li>Videos larger than the screen size are now getting scaled down while playing<\/li>\n<li>Profiles now indicate when an account is suspended<\/li>\n<li>Profiles handle protected accounts better when trying to access followers\/following users, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The compose window now allows tweets with just media attached but not text<\/li>\n<li>Improve the hashtag\/mention\/link detection when composing a new tweet<\/li>\n<li>The compose dialog now shows an emoji chooser.
