Here&#8217;s how to install it in Ubuntu 17.10 and Ubuntu 18.04.<\/p>\n<p>Xfce 1.0.0 brings a new feature and following bug-fixes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Added &#8220;Automatic&#8221; video output option. This uses the autoimagesink to provide the best available video sink for the environment, eliminating the dreaded &#8216;Could not initialise Xv output&#8217; error.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed 32-bit crashes when using the MPRIS2 plugin<\/li>\n<li>Fixed crash on &#8220;Clear History&#8221; button press<\/li>\n<li>Fixed appdata validation<\/li>\n<li>Fixed full debug builds and resolved implicit-fallthrough build warning<\/li>\n<li>Replaced stock icon by freedesktop.org compliant option<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parole-media-player-600x371.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"371\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parole-media-player-600x371.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parole-media-player-450x278.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parole-media-player.jpg 816w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>How to Install Parole 1.0.0 in Ubuntu 18.04, 17.10:<\/h4>\n<p><b>Ubuntu 18.04<\/b> includes the new release package in its main repository archive, just search for and install &#8216;parole&#8217; in <b>Ubuntu Software<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>For <b>Ubuntu 17.10<\/b>, you can install or upgrade to the new release via an <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~ubuntuhandbook1\/+archive\/ubuntu\/apps\" target=\"_blank\">unofficial PPA<\/a>. No updates for Ubuntu 16.04, since Parole now requires GTK+ >=3.20.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal via Ctrl+Alt+T or by searching for &#8220;Terminal&#8221; from app launcher.
