This fixes t\/175_open_session2.t fails on i686 machine.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t unnecessarily use tiffcp on single-page TIFFs.<\/li>\n<li>Update to German translation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-213-600x396.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"396\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-8000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-213-600x396.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-213-450x297.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-213-768x507.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-213.jpg 849w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>How to Install gscan2pdf 2.1.3 in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n<p>For Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, and derivatives, gscan2pdf 2.1.3 can be easily installed via <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~jeffreyratcliffe\/+archive\/ubuntu\/ppa\" target=\"_blank\">its official PPA<\/a> repository.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal by either pressing Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard or using software launcher. When it oepns,run command to add the PPA:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jeffreyratcliffe\/ppa<\/pre>\n<p><i>Type your password (no asterisks feedback due to security reason) when it prompts and hit Enter.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-ppa-bionic-600x81.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"81\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-8001\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-ppa-bionic-600x81.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-ppa-bionic-450x61.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/gscan2pdf-ppa-bionic.jpg 745w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> For those who have a previous release installed, upgrade it through Software Updater:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/update-gscan2pdf-450x313.jpg\" alt=\"upgrade gscan2pdf\" width=\"450\" height=\"313\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6638\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/update-gscan2pdf-450x313.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/update-gscan2pdf-600x417.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/update-gscan2pdf.jpg 751w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For the first time, you can either install it via Synaptic Package Manager or by running following commands in terminal:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:None;\">sudo apt-get update\r\n\r\nsudo apt-get install gscan2pdf<\/pre>\n<p><b>How to Remove:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To remove gscan2pdf, either use your system package manager or run command:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border:none;\">sudo apt-get remove --autoremove gscan2pdf<\/pre>\n<p>And the PPA can be removed via <b>Software &#038; Updates<\/b> utility, under Other Software tab.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gscan2pdf, a GTK tool to produce PDF \/ DjVu from scanned document, reached the 2.1.3 release a few days ago.
