This quick tutorial shows how to install ‘Yaru-Colors’, default Yaru theme in different colors in Ubuntu 19.04.<\/p>\n

Since Ubuntu’s Yaru theme is available only in light and dark, an open-source fork called Yaru-colors<\/a> makes the default Gnome desktop theme available in different colors: Aqua<\/b>, Blue<\/b>, Brown<\/b>, Deepblue<\/b>, Green<\/b>, Grey<\/b>, MATE<\/b>, Pink<\/b>, Purple<\/b>, Red<\/b>, Yellow<\/b>. All colors in light and dark!<\/p>\n

To install the theme:<\/b><\/p>\n

1.<\/b> First grab the source tarball from the them project page:<\/p>\n

Yaru-Colors (tar.gz\/zip)<\/a><\/p>\n

2.<\/b> Extract the tarball, right-click<\/u> source folder and select ‘Open in Terminal<\/b>‘<\/p>\n

It will open a terminal window and automatically navigate to the theme source folder.<\/p>\n

3.<\/b> Paste below command and hit enter to installer script:<\/p>\n

sudo .\/install.sh<\/pre>\n
Type user password (no asterisk feedback) when it prompts and hit Enter to continue.<\/i><\/p>\n

Answer some questions (type number 1<\/b>, 2<\/b>, 3<\/b>, etc.) to select which to install, theme folder (leave blank and hit Enter<\/b> for default).<\/p>\n
4.<\/b> Once installed, launch Gnome Tweaks<\/b> (install it via Ubuntu Software<\/i>) and navigate to Appearance<\/b>.<\/p>\n
There change the values of applications and icons to apply new themes as you want.<\/p>\n

Uninstall:<\/h4>\n
To remove the themes, re-do steps 2 to open the source folder in terminal and run command:<\/p>\n
sudo .\/uninstall.sh<\/pre>\n
