Though it causes many bugs, the size of the desktop icons is now configurable on the bright side.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open Ubuntu Software, search for and install the Gnome desktop configuration tool <code>gnome tweaks<\/code>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/install-gnometweaks-450x266.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"266\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8862\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/install-gnometweaks-450x266.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/install-gnometweaks-600x355.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/install-gnometweaks.jpg 758w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>2.<\/b> Launch <b>Gnome Tweaks<\/b> and navigate to <b>Extensions<\/b> in the left pane.<\/p>\n<p>Click the gear button to bring up settings for &#8220;Desktop icons&#8221;. There you&#8217;ll be able to change the desktop icons size into 3 values: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Small<\/b> (48 pixels)<\/li>\n<li><b>Standard<\/b> (64 pixels)<\/li>\n<li><b>Large<\/b> (96 pixels)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/change-desktopiconsize-600x321.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"321\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-8945\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/change-desktopiconsize-600x321.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/change-desktopiconsize-450x241.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/change-desktopiconsize-768x411.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/change-desktopiconsize.jpg 922w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>3. (Optional)<\/b> If the default 3 option sizes do not meet your needs.
