Fortunately, there are options to change the maginifier preferences.<\/p>\n<p>Also in <b>Dconf Editor<\/b>, navigate to <b>org\/gnome\/desktop\/a11y\/magnifier<\/b>, there are many preference options including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>lens-mode<\/code>: move the magnified view with the mouse pointer.<\/li>\n<li><code>screen-position<\/code>: screen position of magnified view, left-half, right-half, top-half, bottom-half, or full-screen.<\/li>\n<li><code>mag-factor<\/code>: magnification factor, minimum = 0.1, maximum = 32.<\/li>\n<li><code>mouse-tracking<\/code>: determine the position of the magnified mouse image within the magnified view, and how it reacts to system mouse movement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are also options to enable crosshairs, inverse lightness, scroll beyond the edges of desktop, etc.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/magnifier-preferences.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/magnifier-preferences-600x366.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"366\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/magnifier-preferences-600x366.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/magnifier-preferences-450x274.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/magnifier-preferences-768x468.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/magnifier-preferences.jpg 923w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The default Gnome desktop has a built-in desktop magnifier.
