How to Install it in Ubuntu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/gscan2pdf-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"245\" height=\"250\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6635\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Gscan2pdf 2.5.5, GTK tool to produce PDF \/ DjVu from scanned document, was released yesterday with bug-fixes, some improvements, and updated translations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gscan2pdf.sourceforge.net\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gscan2PDF 2.5.5<\/a> changelog:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fix occasional error messages when clearing all pages<\/li>\n<li>Only set paper to Manual if not applying profile<\/li>\n<li>Update OCR view switching between pages with and without OCR output<\/li>\n<li>xz compress log file if xz available<\/li>\n<li>Fix bug applying paper after profile set SANE_INFO_INEXACT<\/li>\n<li>When saving current settings as new profile, actually set the profile<\/li>\n<li>If a device throws an error when opening it, add it to a session blacklist<\/li>\n<li>option tolerance to cover buggy backends that return inexact options without setting SANE_INFO_INEXACT<\/li>\n<li>Update translations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>How to Install gscan2pdf 2.5.5 in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~jeffreyratcliffe\/+archive\/ubuntu\/ppa\" target=\"_blank\">official Ubuntu PPA<\/a> has made the new release packages for Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 18.10, Ubuntu 19.04 and their derivatives.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open terminal either by pressing <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard or searching for &#8216;terminal&#8217; from software launcher.
