It monitors the devices on your network and check bandwidth and speed details.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/babluboy\/nutty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nutty<\/a> is made for elementary OS and it works on Ubuntu. The software features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Display basic and detailed information for the device network card<\/li>\n<li>Provides network data usage in two views: historical usage and current usage<\/li>\n<li>Check Upload and Download speeds and get route times to a host<\/li>\n<li>Provides information on active ports and application using them on the local device<\/li>\n<li>Monitors, alerts and provides information on the other devices connected on the network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9721\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nutty-ubuntu-600x365.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nutty-ubuntu.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nutty-ubuntu-450x274.png 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To install Nutty in <b>Ubuntu 16.04<\/b>, <b>Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 20.04, and Ubuntu 22.04<\/b>, open <u>terminal<\/u> from application launcher or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard. When it opens, run following commands one by one.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.)<\/b> Run command to add the <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~bablu-boy\/+archive\/ubuntu\/nutty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nutty main PPA<\/a>:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border: none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bablu-boy\/nutty<\/pre>\n<p><i>Type user password (no visual feedback) when it asks and hit Enter to continue.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9722\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nutty-ppa-600x122.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nutty-ppa-600x122.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nutty-ppa-450x92.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nutty-ppa.jpg 706w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>2.)<\/b> Also add Elementary OS stable PPA (can be removed later) for <code>libgranite5<\/code> library. ()<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border: none;\">sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementary-os\/stable<\/pre>\n<p><strong><i>You may skip the step in UBUNTU 19.04 and higher since libgranite5 available in main repositories.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-9723\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/eos-stableppa-600x122.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/eos-stableppa-600x122.jpg 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/eos-stableppa-450x92.jpg 450w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/eos-stableppa.jpg 706w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>3.)<\/b> Finally refresh system package cache and install the utility via command:<\/p>\n<pre style=\"border: none;\">sudo apt update; sudo apt install com.github.babluboy.nutty<\/pre>\n<p>Once installed, launch the tool from your system application menu and enjoy!<\/p>\n<h4>Uninstall:<\/h4>\n<p><b>You HAVE to remove the Elementary OS stable PPA<\/b> as it contains many eos specific packages that may break your Ubuntu desktop.<\/p>\n<p>Simply open <b>Software &amp; Updates<\/b> utility and navigate to <b>Other Software<\/b> tab.
