Here&#8217;s how to install it in all current Ubuntu releases.<\/p>\n<p>As a new monthly release, Gscan2pdf 2.6.5 includes following changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed bug when editing page number causing page to deselect and thumbnails to scroll to top of list<\/li>\n<li>Use a scrolled window in the multiple message dialog to prevent it from growing too large.<\/li>\n<li>Use the &#8220;Don&#8217;t show these messages again&#8221; checkbox to switch the checkboxes for the individual messages. Set the button inconsistent if the states are not all the same.<\/li>\n<li>Fix warning message about pdftk (again) by making sure that user-defined tmp directory is available in time.<\/li>\n<li>Improve responsiveness with OCR output (again)<\/li>\n<li>Select # pages = all when switching from reverse->facing.<\/li>\n<li>Show &#8220;waiting&#8221; cursor for longer to prevent scans from being started before all options applied.<\/li>\n<li>Respect &#8216;Use timezone from locale&#8217; option when setting file system timestamp<\/li>\n<li>Updated translations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/gscan2pdf265.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9863\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/gscan2pdf265.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/gscan2pdf265-450x270.png 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>How to Install gscan2pdf 2.6.5 in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~jeffreyratcliffe\/+archive\/ubuntu\/ppa\" target=\"_blank\">official Gscan2PDF PPA<\/a> has made the new release packages for all current Ubuntu releases, and their derivatives, including Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 19.10, Ubuntu 20.04, Linux Mint 18.x and 19.x<\/p>\n<p><b>1.<\/b> Open <u>terminal<\/u> either by pressing <b>Ctrl+Alt+T<\/b> on keyboard or by searching for &#8216;terminal&#8217; from application menu.
