Here&#8217;s how to install it in Ubuntu 18.04 and higher.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.gnome.org\/World\/Shortwave\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shortwave<\/a> is a new desktop radio app for Linux built with Rust. It provides access to a station database with over 25,000 stations. It features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create your own library where you can add your favourite stations<\/li>\n<li>Easily search and discover new radio stations<\/li>\n<li>Automatic recognition of songs, with the possibility to save them individually<\/li>\n<li>Responsive application layout, compatible for small and large screens<\/li>\n<li>Play audio on supported network devices (e.g. Google Chromecasts)<\/li>\n<li>Seamless integration into the GNOME desktop environment<\/li>\n<li>Import stations from Gradio.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/shortwave.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9880\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/shortwave.png 600w, https:\/\/ubuntuhandbook.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/shortwave-450x254.png 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>How to install Shortwave in Ubuntu:<\/h4>\n<p>For Ubuntu 18.04 and higher, Shortwave radio player can be easily installed via Flatpak from flathub repository.<\/p>\n<p><b>First do following steps to setup flathub repository if you&#8217;re first time installing a flatpak package in Ubuntu:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>1.)<\/b> Open terminal either from system application menu or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard.
