  1. I LIKE KDE VERY MUCH. BUT I HAVE SMALL PROBLEM INSTALLING KDE 4.13 IN UBUNTU 12.04. I JUST WANT THE DESKTOP EVIRONMENT. I DON’T WANT IT’S APPS. THE FULL INSTALLATION REQUIRES ABOUT 450 MB OF DISCK SPACE AND I DON’T WANT KDE TO HAVE THAT MUCH SPACE. IS THERE A WAY TO INSTALL ONLY THE DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT AND NOT IT’S APPLICATIONS ? ‘CAUSE I ALREADY HAVE SOME KDE APPLICATIONS IN UNITY AND GNOME. PLEASE HELP ME.

    • You can replace the last command in this tutorial with:

      sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends kubuntu-desktop

It will only install the core apps of KDE
