KeePassXC, the cross-platform community fork of KeePass password manager, released version 2.7.10 few days ago.
The new KeePassXC 2.7.10 finally added support changing the font size between small, normal, medium, and large, making the app fit for different screen sizes and user needs.
The release also added support for KeePass2 TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) configuration settings, and support for importing database from Proton Pass.
There are as well New/Preview Entry Attachments dialog, to add or preview attachments that don’t require a real file in the file system.
Other changes include new --minimized
option to start minimized to system tray, HTML export from CLI tool, as well as:
- Support passkeys with Bitwarden import
- database name, color, and icon options for unlock view.
- “Group Full Path” column in entry view
- Implement T-CONV and T-REPLACE-RX entry placeholders
- mixed case passphrase type.
- Add support for URL wildcards and exact URL
- Expire entries from context menu
- Add

How to Install KeePassXC 2.7.10
The software website provides the packages for Linux, Windows, MacOS, as well as source code and browser extension:
For Linux, it’s a non-install AppImage that can be run directly (after added executable permission) to launch the password manager.
While, there are also SNAP package that can be installed from Ubuntu Software (App Center), Flatpak package runs in sandbox, and official PPA for Ubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu 24.04, and Ubuntu 24.10.
