This simple tutorial will show you how to install the FrostWire on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy, 13.04 Raring, 12.10 Quantal, 12.0 Precise, Linux Mint.

FrostWire is a fork of LimeWire, and was previously a hybrid Gnutella and BitTorrent client. Unlike most other BitTorrent clients, FrostWire is able to search for, and download torrents from many major trackers.

1.) FrostWire is Java based, so you will need Java installed. Search for and install OpenJDK package in Ubuntu Software Center.

2.) Download latest FrostWire package:

Download FrostWire

3.) Once downloaded, double-click to install the package. Or run the command below:

sudo dpkg -i frostwire-*.deb
